The Division of GIM has outstanding clinicians, teachers and educational leaders. GIM is the engine that drives the delivery of acute and chronic multi-system disease management and trains the clinical and academic leaders of tomorrow. Division members are instrumental to the rich experience of learners in the Clinical Teaching Units (CTU) and Emergency Departments at three hospital sites and the Unique Academic Ambulatory CTU. Faculty members have established a national reputation as educators and educational leaders in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at McMaster and at a provincial, national and international level through contributions to the ACP (Ontario Chapter), CPSO, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Canadian Society of Internal Medicine, Canadian Journal of General Medicine and ACP Journal Club.
