Dr. Paul Moayyedi Appointed Editor-in-Chief of Gastroenterology

Congratulations to Dr. Paul Moayyedi  on being appointed  Co-Editor-in-Chief of Gastroenterology, the prestigious journal of the American Gastroenterological Association  (AGA), the most highly-cited journal in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.

Dr. Moayyedi joined McMaster University in 2004 and was Director of the Division of Gastroenterology at McMaster in 2006-2017.  He holds the Audrey Campbell Chair of Ulcerative Colitis Research and is currently the Assistant Dean of Research at McMaster University.

Dr. Moayyedi has published over 425 peer-reviewed articles that have been cited over 61,000 times with an h index of 120. He is a proponent of evidence-based medicine and is joint Coordinating Editor of the Cochrane Gut Review Group.  He will be joining Dr. David S. Weinberg, Chair of the Department of Medicine at Fox Chase Cancer Center, as co-editor-in-chief.
